Well don't know what to do. I have a USB Memory stick and unfortunatly I cannot get my windows 98 computer to read it. It says that it needs to locate a driver for the device. I have been through lots of sites but can't find the one that lets me do this. The instructions says that it is for USB 2.0
anything that you can tell me would be great.

The USB pen should come with a disk if it is compatable with Windows 98, if it doesn't then it is likely that it does not work with Windows 98. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

This probably means it was designed for 2000 and above. It is likely you won't be able to use it on Windows 98. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Go to the manufactures's website and download a driver, if possible.
Other wise, it is impossible to download a driver, unless you plug it in and run Windows Update, which should detect it and download a driver automatically. _________________ Hosted Abyss Sites-

Windows 2000 brought new features like Plug in Play and on Windows 98, such features are not nearly as developed ecpeially for Usb memory -your product name here-. |

adamscott,
Windows 98 always needs a driver to be installed before being able to use any USB connected device (be it a memory stick). So as the others said, try checking the USB stick manufacturer site for such a driver. _________________ Support Team
