Ok yeah so ive been browsing through all of this and tried quite a bit of it..But I either Dont Get It or something..IDK...

I have a Linksys WRT54GS Router, and WildBlue Internet.

Ive tried Portforwarding and found my router and did all the Portfowarding things i could think of. Still doesnt work..
I think Ive messed with my Network Firewall settings and still nothing..

Ive tried Proxy sites and see if it could work thatway..still no.. One of them - The-cloak.com said this: ERROR-IN-STATUS-LINE

Im so confused on what to do..and if im doing anything at all :|

Im Trying to set up a Icecast radio server...Also RSS Channels with all of my music - you know ; so i can listen to my music anywhere and everywhere :P
I got PHP5 - idk if that helps or not..but its workin..

I use NO-IP.com - its almost like dyndns..it does the same thing

i did the whole 127.0.0.1 www.web-here.com kind of thing and i see my rss channels working perfectly..

so yeah its just something to do with my internet stuff..i think?

It took me quite a while to figure out port forwarding. Goto your routers setup via your browser. Then goto the port forwarding page and make sure that the ip that your port is being forwarded to is your local ip.

Hope this helps! Holler if you need any further help.

www.portforward.com is a useful site. Find your router and it will help you set it up.

Sorry, I accidentally deleted the image. If you can't figure out how to port forward after trying portforward.com, let me know and I will see what I can do to help.

I know the WRT54GS router will randomly change your ip if it is the DHCP server, even if it shouldn't expire for a while. Make sure that all the IP's are correct with the server and the port fowardings. I know that used to be the problem for the longest time for me.

This address uses a network port which is normally used for purposes other than Web browsing. Firefox has canceled the request for your protection.

Use a different port

Why dont you just run it on port 80?

VaultWalto,

I can not pull up your site.

Do you have the DNS server set up to point to your external WAN address?

The DNS should point to your public IP address...

Also, are you running a firewall and if so is it configured to let traffic through that port?

I know that if the router is set to be the DHCP server and you asign yourself an IP it will not allow it and the router will get messed up and think that the address doesn't exist on the internal network. Is the DHCP server turned off in the router? I expierenced this problem with that router.

VaultWalto,

To find the external address internal address you can use this site www.whatismyip.com

To find the internal you can go to a command prompt - start> run> cmd> type in ipconfig or ipconfig /all and push enter...

The reason for this is that your IP is manually configured. It chooses to ignore the DHCP server because your server has an IP address it wants already.
This is not a problem as long as that computer can browse the internet.

Pinging your subdomain, the IP shows 67.54.169.180. So, that looks good.

Your problem is quite peculiar. Try accessing your site at http://67.54.169.180. If it's a different port than 80, use http://67.54.169.180:port_number.
