I'm sorry ppl. im so new to php and sql...
i just wonder if there is any free pop3 server so that i can enter to my php...
i have a pop3 yahoo acc.
so. i've set pop.mail.yahoo.ca in php.ini
but when i run phpBB2.04, when register a new a/c or use the forget password, errors occured about mailing..
i went to the admin panel of phpbb to set it so that it uses the entered smpt server~_~
but still.. doesn't work.. is there anything i did wrong.. or is it the fact that i can't use yahoo pop....
pls to any help~~~ |

You should use your SMTP server (not your POP3 server). SMTP servers send emails, POP3 servers are used to download your emails. Your SMTP server is usually your ISP outgoing mail server (check with your ISP).
