I am running Abyss locally for development. I need to install a development SSL certificate. When I attempt to create a private key, I get this error:

Error in Private Keys - Add: Key creation failed

Abyss Web Server X2 (v 2.14)

What should I do?

Are you using Acmebot with a Letsencrypt account? It’s the simplest way on Abyss.

I am trying to. The instructions in Abyss say to first create a private key. I get the above error when I do that.

I just upgraded my server to 2.14 and now am experiencing the same exact problem trying to import a new key file or even generate one within Abyss. Seems like a bug in the software.

Both cases were solved by email and were mostly due to file permission issues on the kcstore subdirectory where keys are stored.
