This seems to be impossible without something (a software for example on pc1) that will route the incoming traffic from pc1 to pc2. In fact, pc2 isn't accessible by the outside world unless pc1 acts as a intermediary.
Does anyone know about a software that will act as a pipe to solve this issue ? _________________ Support Team

another thought pc1 ---runs the webserver....(ics) through both pc1 and pc2
and pc2 surfs to pc1 through the net (as if it where another machine on the web) pc2 ---just needs pc1s real ip for the net (that part is easy) in theory.
im sure this will work.  |

This looks like a shareware solution by a very respectable company in networking technologies. http://www.kerio.com/wrl_home.html
I can't say for sure if its the answer you're looking for but it does say it maps ports from pc to pc... Could be a start in a good direction...
Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

yeah winroutelite which is freeware ....for a 5 user license....will do the job.
i have a copy of this already. but havent used it. yet!
there was another a number of years ago that i used ....it was called internet splitter......worked well. but doesnt work with xp.
i would prefer using winroute.
anyway im of to have my daily food intake.

Ok OK people.... Kerio is just a Firewall software. What it does it to let inboud and or outbound which depend also how it setup. Mean.... When Kerio detect income (inbound) it will ask if allow or deny [Permit / Deny] or manually configure it Rule set.
As for zinalien, do yourself a favor... Get a cheapo switch or a hub with 4 port or so. This way, you do not have to figure out ICS and stuff. Or better yet, get a router with 2 or more port for all your local PC [LAN] so you can connect all of it to share your connection to the net and other good stuff. Beside, having a router can protect you from outside wild wild world by it natural NAT.
So in summary, either use a Router or Switch / Hub to have your PC1 as a server and PC2 at the same time surf the net. Beside, PC2 do not need to have PCI on to surf WWW. You can turn it off PC2 or PCI. :D Isn't it that cooool :?:
So, if you decide to get a Router [Recommended] just make sure you allow Port 80 to be inbound to your LAN IP PC that Abyss is on. _________________ CapFusion,... |
