How do i forward my ip address to a dns local address that is my server, i know you can port forward but when i type in my actual ip i either get nothing or my linksys routers setup. I want it so that when i put in my ip address it goes to the dns that has my server on it. How would i do this? the only way i can seem to access it is locally by a 192.168 dns ip, i want to access it through the internet with my regular ip directing it to my computer with the server |

You must set up port forwarding as you said you did but you must also disable "remote configuration" so the router page does not show up.
www.portforward.com might help you and is well worth a look.
I know nearly all linksys routers allow remote configuration to be disabled (every single one I have used has allowed this). _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)
