Hi all, pre warning I am very new to abyss, php, and joomla. Wondering if somebody can point me in the right direction. I have already installed Abyss X2 - have already downloaded and installed the PHP 5 pre-configured file, and installed as per the online instructions.
Abyss - C:\Abyss Web Server
PHP5 - C:\PHP5

I have also downloaded Joomla and installed into C:\Abyss Web Server\Websites\Joomla

I am a bit stuck on what is next. How do I test that I have installed PHP5 correctly ? and how do I setup joomla ?

I have read all documentation in regard to Joomla setup and it says to login to joomla type http://localhost/joomla in the internet explorer address bar...but I continually get webpage cannot be found.

Any suggestions ?

Rgs..

Hey Stevo_0z. I see you're using X2.
Do you have any domain names setup in Hosts? If so, use that address (or your IP) to access your Joomla setup.

If you intend to use the directory "Websites", did you make sure the Documents Path is correct in your Console?

To see if PHP is configured correctly, create a file called phpinfo.php with the following line of code...
Code:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>

Place this file in your htdocs folder and browse to http://127.0.0.1/phpinfo.php to see if it works.
