Did you just install abyss? Do you have skype or myspace running? 8000 was the default port abyss used for my install while I had myspace running. I had the same prob you did. However, the default port is supposed to be 80. myspace/with skype uses that port. I couldn't use 8000 for abyss to work right for me, so i turned off myspace, switched to port 80 in abyss, and it started working.
If you have a router, allow abyss to use port 80.. Or, does your ISP block port 80 and in which case you may be using 8000 on purpose? |

Your router may not support loop-back (visiting your own IP). _________________ -Blake | New Server :D

127.0.0.1:8000? should be 127.0.0.1:9999 Try changeing you port to 80 and your port forward 9999
Abyss Web Server Console :: Console Configuration :: Parameters
protocol HTTP
port 9999
Abyss Web Server Console :: Hosts - Edit - http ://www .sitename.com :: General
Default HTTP Port (80) |
