All of this worked fine under apache. Except my domains where on the root of c drive.
I have a gigabyte home network and a xp server and installed abyss. I have 2 network cards on the server. One on a dedicated router for abyss. The other for the home network on a different router.
I can access the abyss server from a workstation except when I get to the "program files" directory and then I can not access it or anything below it.
I need to access my 5 domains below abyss because it is the way I change and add files to the domains.
Does abyss create access rights? What is the problem?
Also, I have about 3,000 files in a directory for download. In apache I used the default listing funtion files1/?n=a and it worked fast and fine.
Abyss is taking forever to list the files. Any clues?
Thanks,
John |

The server has 2 NIC. One is configured for the internet router
(192.168.10.100). The other NIC is configured for the local area network
router(192.168.0.100). I have a workstation I use to edit website files via
the local area network. NOT thought the internet.
It is when I am trying to access the server via the local area network that
I can see the program files directory, but can not access any of the files.
It comes up with "access is denied". Upon checking, this is also true with
documents and settings/administrator and the windows directory.
Repeating..........this is not from the server or console or within Abyss.
It is from the local area network workstation.
I have SOLVED the problem. I added administrator rights to the guest local
area network rights in the windows administration tools on the server.
The other problem with file listings time is supposed to be a problem within Abyss to be fixed in next release. |
