Hey, How do I access my Abyss Console from the web with my ip address? I can access it like this: http://127.0.0.1:9999/ but that is local. I want to be able to access it from anywhere like this http://my-ipaddress:9999. I have port 9999 open and forwarding but I just get the abyss error 403 forbidden. What do I do?

Goto the console, then to "Console Configuration" and then IP Address Control, and add an allowed IP range, put * in and add it. I believe that should work. If you open up console access to the internet, I suggest you have a strong and secure username and password.

Ok so what is the Users and Groups thing about? I made a new user and a group and put that person in the group and gave that user a password. Now, what does it do? I cant use that users name and password to login so what is it for?

When you create a protected folder you give it a username that is allowed to log in to that protected folder.

Make a user
Make a protected folder
Add the user to the protected folder as allowed

Also, if you didn't realize, the users and groups are only for password protected directories, not the console access.

ncwdavid,

Every field in the console has a (?) sign next to it. If you don't understand what it is for, just click on that (?) and you'll get contextual help about it.
