Try putting in the right username/pass/host and make sure MySQL is running.

Open task manager and click the processes tab. Look for a process similar to "mysqld-nt.exe". If its there then MySQL is running.

If you are having problems configuring it then visit my site and follow the tutorials. www.abyssunderground.co.uk .

We have just installed an eventum setup for a database test and are getting the following error in our error logs although things appear to be working properly. W are also occasionally getting a server not available message while using/refreshing eventum. Any suggestions?

'INSERT INTO
user_eventum.eventum_issue_history
(
his_iss_id,
his_usr_id,
his_created_date,
his_summary,
his_htt_id) VALUES (
5,
10,
'2007-01-10 20:47:33',
'Issue updated (Description) ',
) [nativecode=1064 ** You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 13]'

Brian121,

This is a script error. We suggest reporting it to the script authors.

Just a question: if my host is "localhost", then it should be this, right?

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost';

Just asking because I'm getting this same issue. I've even tried connecting after turning off the firewall and turning off static ip.

So, default mysql account user = root and default port = 3306 . I've already opened 3306 port on both UDP/TCP. Still, I can't connect to the server.

How frustrating! :(

Edit: In my.ini

I added: #Bind Address
bind-address=localhost
Also, mysqld-nt.exe is running.

Lucifiel,

Try using 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost and check that your MySQL server is actually running.
