The URL is a sub-domain so www. is not necessary. If you take the www. off the front of the URL it loads fine.

IE: http://silentcoast.no-ip.org/ftp

Also, many people don't realize that www. is a subdomain by itself, and that it is not necessary at all if the webserver is configured correctly.

I am getting a "The server requested a login authentication method that is not supported" with Opera.

530 Login not accepted

In firefox, it gives me a login prompt, and it is trying to open a FTP connection.

This is a rather unusual circumstance. URL redirections normally do not involve switching protocols (HTTP to FTP).

This would be related to a setting for IE to display FTP sites. Or passive mode might have something to do with it.

IE6 simply says "Cannot find server", though it did receive the redirection from your server. Typing in the FTP address manually did bring up a login prompt.
