|
|
Konnichiwa, i'm a Bell Sympatico user and i've read everything about port forwarding and whatsoever. Before i switched to bell i had ROgers which was working great with Abyss but recently i had to switch to Bells which caused me a lot of problems with web hosting.
So my problem is
everytime i connect to my ip i get
User Login - Failed
Access permission is currently denied
how come it is accessing the bells modem? ( SPeedstream 5200)
i tried port forwarding to port 8080 and other ports but i still get the same error.
Anyone else who is a bell user that has goten abyss to work ?
Thanks in adance. |

KawaiiSama,
It's because of your router which does not support loopback correctly (your cannot use the external IP from a computer behind the router). Please read http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/articles/access-test.html to know how to access your server locally. _________________ Support Team

I can access it locally but just not outside of my network.
The command line is already in my host file.
Comp Specs.
Windows XP PRO SP2
5mbit connection
Abyss Server V2
Using Linksys Router With The Speedstream 5200.
My Current IP: 67.70.150.131
Note: Its A Dynamic IP so it will change in a few hours or until i restart. |

KawaiiSama,
Try changing the port (some ISPs may block port 80) and check your port forwarding rules. _________________ Support Team
