Hi,
When I run my site on using the webserver pages are loading slowly. By this I mean pages load piece by piece (intially a few images might be missing by the page refreshs automatically and all appears fine).
Has anyone else experienced this? Would the pro version of the webserver solve this problem.
Note: All pages loaded fine using IIS (but had tech issues with it and thats why I switched to this webserver.) |

Make sure you havent accidently enabled bandwidth throttling. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

The thing is that Abyss requires more RAM, CPU, and HDD space to run. IIS does not require hardly any; but it does not contain as many cool features as Abyss. So, that may be a problem.
On the other hand, as Andy said, you should check your bandwidth throttling settings. _________________ Hosted Abyss Sites-

Are you sure Abyss requires more RAM and HDD space. Have you installed the server and tested it? Does IIS uses less than 4 MB of RAM and 1 MB of your HDD space as Abyss Web Server does? _________________ Support Team

Are you trying to load the pages off of http://localhost?
I've had trouble with this. The page may take as long as 20 seconds to load in, according to PHP.
Try accessing your server from another computer on your LAN. From another computer, type in the server's internal IP address (http://192.168.xxx.xxx) in a web browser. _________________ Stephen

How can it take more than 20 secs to load a PHP page? Maybe the script uses too much processing?

This was when my server was on Win98 and loading the homepage from the localhost. I don't know why it happened. When accessing it from any other computer, it only took a fraction of a second. The problem's solved now with Windows XP. _________________ Stephen
