Hi, whenever I change the Global Bandwidth Limits I'm told that I have to "Restart" to make the changes.
Does this mean I'm literally restarting the entire server (as in it will interrupt/stop the downloads ppl may be getting from me at the time)?
If it does do this (as I strongly suspect it does), then I'll go ahead and make a feature request.. please let us change the Global Bandwidth Limits on the fly (without having to restart the server).. or at least attempt to add this ability to the paid version of Abyss.
It would be nice, so I don't have to use terminal commands (I'm using OS X) or a 3rd party app (Throttled Pro, CarraFix, etc.) to change bandwidth limits on the fly. I would rather do this all from one place.
Thanks for making a great, great application, BTW!!! :D
Something like this should be built into OS X's Apache server (Personal Web Sharing). Hahaha... then again, I guess Apple wouldn't want to do that b/c is would cut sales of thier OS X server, I guess. : |

Even Apache requires a restart for Server changes. Hopefully this will change in the future though. :-) |

mammy,
The "no restart" feature is something that we're working on for the next major version. _________________ Support Team
