phpmyadmin everything worked fine for about 3 hrs then everything stopped working including my internet & my wifes wireless connection. I rebooted the computer, modem & router to no avail.

I looked into the network(winipcfg) and found my ip changed. & looked in my taskman to find that mysql was not running & I had two instances of abyss running. finally after restarting everything a couple of times I got back my internal ip, but still can't connect to anything, including my wifes laptop and internet.

WoW I just rememered, I got distracted, I never replaced myhost with in the phpadmin config file.Do you think I might have corrupted my network driver files?

trotter,

2 abyssws.exe processes is not a bug. That's how Abyss Web Server works.

What seems to have occurred is that your computer restarted and got a new local IP address from the DHCP server embedded in your router. You should set up your computer to have a static IP (inside your LAN).

MySQL has to be setup to start automatically as system startup (this is called 'installed as a Windows Service'). Otherwise you'll have to manually start it each time you need it.

By the way, neither MySQL/Abyss nor PhpMyAdmin have the power to mess with your network settings. You should check your router/wireless configuration and check your firewall for such problems.
