If you use http://127.0.0.1:9999 , do you get the same error?

http://127.0.0.1:9999/ gives me that error, but if i use localhost, and i leave it there for a while (its trying to "find the site" thingy... when your browser is trying to connect to a site), then eventually after around 5 minutes or so, it would find the console..

There is a problem with your TCP/IP configuration, not with Abyss Web Server. First, check if you have declared a proxy in your browser and disable its use for localhost and/or 127.0.0.1.
Second, one of the users that has the same problem as yours reported that he solved the issue as follows (we quote him):
Quote:
When I reinstalled Windows, my internet was working automatically, however
when doing a further check in the TCP/IP properties configuration for my
Ethernet card, on the WINS configuration Tab, "Use DHCP for WINS resolution"
was the option checked off when it should have been "Disable WINS
resolution"
