You can try the latest, though you may not have the memory for it (the older version are not supported fully)

Unfortunately 10.1.5 is too old.

Abyss Web Server works on 10.2 and higher (since the first Mac release). Most software today requires 10.3.9 and higher. The problem is that new development tools published by Apple no more support 10.1 or 10.0. Even 10.2 support is being slowly removed.

If OS X is no more an option on your old computer, we suggest installing Darwin (the low level part of OS X - almost everything expect its nice Aqua interface): http://developer.apple.com/opensource/index.html . It's free and available on old systems. Next you can install on it any user interface (such as Gnome or KDE). Your computer will run with Mac OS X core (Darwin) but will look like any regular Linux/Unix based system.

Another option is to install Linux Ubuntu. It's also free and works fine on PowerPCs (no driver hell, it recognizes all Mac hardware automatically). You can even receive a free setup CD from https://shipit.ubuntu.com/ .
