does anyone use or know of good free/opensource DJ'ing software that runs on windows xp, and is easy to use :) ?

DJ as in scratching and cutting two songs or more and saving the work.

Have you tried Audacity? There's a ton of plugin effects that can be added to it.
I don't know if there's a scratching plugin for it. Check their plugins section.

Also, check out MP3 Remix. Mix up to 320 different sounds (beats, loops, scratches,
instruments, vocals) simultaneously.

Check out FruityLoops. Earlier versions of it were free - but not anymore. Such old versions may be found somewhere out there.

FruityLoops can help you develop your own house/trance music, which I normally wouldn't mind because I'm a metal head, but I also use it in developing metronomic accompaniment for the music that I make.

I believe it can also cut many songs into one as you can do so many things with it.
