Ok, I walked throught the sticky post and why people can't see my site. And it still does not work. I found the forwarding site on my dsl modem. What on earth do I type to get this blasted thing to work?

I typed port 80 in all the port spots and my ip in the ip spots. Any ideas?
I have it set for tcp, should I try udp?

I have tried and found nothing. I put port 80 in and my external ip (which i still don't understand why there is 2 different #'s when I go to whatismyip.com or type ipconfig in dos).

I still dont get anything.

If you read the right things on the forum you would know why.

You have a router, correct?

Your external IP is the one you find on whatismyip.com, your internal IP is the one you find when you type ipconfig(/ifconfig).

I have a dsl modem. I dont have a router. Does this mean that I will not be able to get my site working by using the abyss web server? Please let me know. Thanks.

You want to forward port 80 for TCP to your internal IP address. You have an external IP address (the one you see in my sig) and an internal IP address for your computer (it might start as 192.168.1.xxx). You probably want to forward port 80 to your internal IP address.

If you list your DSL modem brand and model, it might allow someone who has that modem to help you.

You may also want to read some documentation about how the internet works from a technical perspective. I recommend reading:
http://computer.howstuffworks.com/web-server.htm/printable
http://computer.howstuffworks.com/nat.htm/printable

Then you can read about port forwarding with more understanding (http://www.portforward.com/).

You have a actiontec right?

Port forward your internal adress on port 80. if that does not work port forwad 1024 and change abyss port to 1024. But port 80 Should work. If you have a firewall port forward that.
