hello! I noticed many people had sigs that showed some system specs for their servers, so I was thinking of making a thread that shows what everyone else uses for their server.
Here's mine:
Pentium 4 w/HT running at 2.45GHz
512MB of RAM
Belkin Wireless N 108Mbps PCMICA card
80GB 3.0GB/s SATA hard drive
all basically sitting in a fridge because of all fans and other cooling methods broke, and is mainly remotely accessed through our local network, since the mouse, keyboard, and screen are screwy. |

There have been a few topics like this started before and the specs people posted were quite interesting. You should look for the old topic and compare it with this one once it gets going.
I suggets you get a fan on your processor since im willing to bet it doesnt like passive cooling that much.
My specs can be seen in my sig below. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

well, I would, but its a laptop and it was basically sealed with liquid cement by Compaq, so doing that is quite hard. Yea, it doesnt really like it that much, but its really just about the best thing I can do for it without breaking it into a million pieces. I just leave open as much as I can and have it up-side down so that the openings are on top so the heat goes up. |

Dell Optiplex GN+ running winXP on a 20G main drive, with the server running on a 2G slave drive. Processor is an old Intel Pentium MMX 232; 192 meg of RAM; sitting behind a Netgear RP614 router, and an aDSL modem on our telephone line. _________________ Red Lion
