I've searched Google for a good program that I can use to control my Bluetooth dongle from the command line under XP. However, all I found was related to Linux and BlueZ.

Does anybody know a program that will let me search for neatby devices and return the bluetooth address(es)?

I've found varios scripts in Perl and Python, none of them seems to work on my system however.

Under Windows, it's probably more specific to the actual piece of hardware/bluetooth chipset used. What dongle do you have?

Eh, not really sure since I've hacked it a bit (added a new antenna). The hardware manager however says it's a 'Blutonium BCM2035 Bluetooth 2.4 GHz Single Chip Transceiver'. It works with the drivers in SP2.

If you haven't used it already, BlueScanner should be compatible with your dongle, but I don't think it has any command line options. It's a very nice piece of software though...

The only other tool I would have suggested is BTScanner, but it appears that while it runs in the console in Linux, it has a GUI under Windows.

I'll have a look around my bookmarks and see if I can come up with anything command line based...
