Which antivirus do you think I should use?
What do you use?
I'm currently using AVG free edition.
The main thing I want to be able to do is once a virus has been detected delete or quarantine it automatically without needing any conformation from the user. I'm thinking of getting AVG Professional Single Edition as it has the option to do this.
I don't mind spending a bit of money on something but not loads. _________________ This signature is getting old

I use F-Secure, since my school is paying for it. It's okay, I guess. |

You could consider using NOD32.
I don't use it though since I don't normally need file-access-level scanning. My colleagues do use it.
I just use ClamAV (ClamWin is the Windows port). It's rough as it has no file-access-level scanning and not much automation save for the scheduled scanning, but it fulfills my needs. _________________

I am using Trend Micro PC-ilin on 5th year.
I tried McAfee for free on a company license for home use, and I got tired of all the adds and nags for extra services.
Also tried Winclam but found that paying Trend Micro was the better option. I had some problems with Winclam of some nature.
Consider the money spent on hardware each year, it's a sensible cost to cover. _________________ Reformers are doomed to fail - http://83.92.35.50 |

I don't use any since I don't open files I don't know what they are and I don't go on all those sites with annoying popups that could contain them. Never had a problem.
I do scan my PC once a month though with Norton and it never finds anything. Leaving it on slows the system to a crawl, like Norton products always do... _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Cool thanks everyone :D I'll have a look at them all, but in the mean time AVG will probably do fine :D _________________ This signature is getting old |
