I'm actually pretty tired of seeing these versions but I ignore them now. That
version is so outdated, but at least they're using the software. :-) |

Probably. Why the hell is he using X2 when he doesn't even use virtual hosting? |

How does one pirate a copy of Abyss Web Server?
Has someone bought a copy and then released it on the Internet with their License key etc, or have they done it a different way?
The reason I ask is that, I know for a fact that I wouldn't pay for something and then release it on some sort of P2P network for everyone else to download and use!?
Is this the way all pirated software works its way onto the Internet??
It dosn't make sence to me!!
I prefer the Jack Sparrow type of pirate :-)

Exactly right.
This copy, has however, been disabled from being updated to the latest version. Unfortunately its impossible to irradicate every copy of the pirated version so we just have to do everything we can to prevent the best use of it. If someone wants it that bad, they'd simply buy it, hence all us "legitimate" X2 users out there :-) _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

The most common pirated version out there right now is the infamous "James Dean" version.
This is from some idiot that tried to get a refund 2 days after buying it but Aprelium refused.
So, he thought he'd get revenge by releasing the package to all the popular w@rez forums,
which was probably his intention in the first place.
I, personally, have contacted Rapidshare several times to take down various links I've found
in the past. Unfortunately, that's about all you can do in this situation. It still doesn't stop the
other file-sharing services and rogue FTP servers. |

I also reported this "James Dean" about a year ago. Speaking of James Dean,
if you listen to Senses Fail's music, you will hear a lyric.

We refused to give him a refund because we discovered that he has released the serial code on a warez site a few hours before asking for a refund. His initial intent was to get the software for free and to share it with fellow pirates. _________________ Support Team
