So then guys/galls, which mail server(s) do you use with Aprelium?, I'm currently using the trial of CMailServer, which is great, but WebMail only works with IIS :( So, what do you use?, Also suggestions are more than welcome, I'm looking for a free (or a trial which limits users) mailserver which has the ability for webmail, so, anyone got any suggestions? _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

Tried that too ;). C-Mail is fine for the mo, but if, as I'm considering, get a better connection (Broadband 256kbs) I'll be running my own server (ASP, PHP etc...) and 5users max for the "demo" version just isn't enough :( and as a student, my budget doesn't stretch to $99 :x _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

Heh...Good idea, I've considered that in the past, however if I were to use one, it'd have to be ASP (Active Server Pages), such a script would be fairly expensive, anyways, I've just written to the company that makes C-Mail explaining to them how they can tweak their server to get WebMail working on Abyss rather than only IIS, let's hope their feeling generous and want to give me a full version :D _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

Are you people talking about an e-mail service on your webpage or just an SMTP server to, oh let's say, use in a form? |

Bluedog, Agrosoft does indeed have webmail, however If i remember rightly it's un-avaliable in the "free" version :D _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

Maybe it's useful for some of our clients. I wish you can help us promote our software to all.
Now, we plan to send a registration code for you -

Dave, you said you e-mailed C-Mail telling them how they can get their server to get webmail to work on Abyss rather than only IIS and they replied that they will add your smart discovery on their site but I can't find anything related on their site whatsoever. I've got C-Mail installed but I can't seem to get webmail to work. I know this place has nothing to do with anything but Abyss but I'm just wondering if you could tell me what exactly your smart discovery was so I have a chance of getting this thing to work for me. :P
Thanks for your help. |

Boy I've spent at least 2 hours trying to get this to work then right after I decide to finally ask for help I get it to go. :o
All I did was set an Alias for /mail to point to the CMailServer/WebMail directory so by entering www.host.com/mail it loads up index.asp
I feel like I'm talking to myself now ... thanks for listening.
If I'm still missing something, please, don't be afraid to jump in on my one-sided conversation. :P |
