I think your server is offline but anyway my tip is this. Because your IP address is all numbers, people can not remember them really well. My recommandation<To every one> is goto http://www.mysever.org. That's all. <Its's a Dynamic IP address forwarding site if you want to know> |

Do you have a firewall? - enable access to port 80
Do you have XP? - enable access in your internal firewall (port 80)
Enabled your firewall but still cant access your site?
Is your ISP blocking port 80 (web server port)? - http://www.securitymetrics.com
Go to securitymetrics and take note on port 80... Is it closed? Is it stealth?
If your ISP is blocking port 80 simply change the webserver port in Abyss to a port above 8000... 9000, 10000, etc...
Is your IP dynamic or static? Static today is static tomorrow but if it is dynamic today it'll be something else tomorrow... go to http://www.dyndns.org and they'll give your static or dynamic IP a permanent name...
Are you using another port? You have to add that onto the end of your IP as such http://0.0.0.0:port/
Make sure Abyss is running (look in your system tray)...
Are you using any virus scanners, pop scanners or anything that could be blocking or interfering with port 80?
What have you tried? What is your setup? Did you solve it already? Are you behind a router?
Please tell us more and tell us if you solved it already... Thanks :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

I have the same problem. I run Win2k, and I have tried many different ports and none have worked. I have no firewalls or antivirus software either. It works when I goto 127.0.0.1 but not when I do it by the ip:port. Any ideas? |

I did the port scan at security metrics, and all my ports are Stealth.

change your port in the Abyss console... Launch it and go to server configuration... Change your port from 80 to something higher like 8000 or any number above that...
Once you do that make sure your firewall knows the new port and make sure to allow access to it...
Chances are since port 80 was stealth with and or without your firewall on it is your ISP which is blocking port 80...
Tell me if this works :)
Make sure to add the port number onto the end of your IP like this http://0.0.0.0:port/
Goodluck, tell me if you solve it :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

I don't know if this was asked above, but are you dehind a home router, if so enable DMZ to the IP address given to you from your router. I had the same problem before I enabled DMZ  _________________ No war against Iraq forum
