I've used abyss for a long time, but I just got a new server machine, and one thing happend that I've never experienced before.
This time the address is case sensitive...
f.eks.:
http://onear.no-ip.com/Side doesn't work....
http://onear.no-ip.com/side work....
The problem is that my files do not have case sensitive names for pictures and stuff.....
I use Freebsd 5.4, if that could help. |

I checked your links and they are case sensitive. This doesn't happen in the
Windows version , I will contact Priority Support and tell them about this now.
Edit: I just e-mailed Priority Support for you. LateR!

This is a thing with linux.
You can't do anything about it except change OS. _________________

Yeah, I thought it was linux too. Just like FOO and foo isnt the same file in linux, but is in windows.....
But I can't remember that it was like this last time I used abyss under linux.
I thought maybe there is a setting that could be changed somewhere, so that abyss doesn't care if it is upper or lowercase. |

One_ar,
This is not a bug.
The case sensitivity in Abyss Web Server depends on the case sensitivity of the file system you're using (or the file/path you're accessing is using).
So if you're on a native UNIX partition (ext2fs for Linux or FFS on FreeBSD), chances are that your file names are case sensitive. If your files are on an NTFS or a FAT32 partition, the file names are case insensitive. _________________ Support Team

Okey.....thanx for Explaining this to me..
Now I understand why it wasn't like this the last time I used abyss on Linux. I Used A FAT32 harddisk for my Server-files. |

I think Fat32 can work with Linux but im not sure. Try setting your Abyss root
to an extra HardDrive that uses a Fat32 partition and maybe it will fix. LateR!
