PHPBB2 without MYSQL?

I have set up my own webserver, (well kinda) and it works!!!! but i would like to hos a forum (phpBB to be percise) and i cant be bothered to install MySQL is there any way of usind the ODBC datasource or something along those lines for the database of my Forum!

If there is, could you please tell me how to do it?

MySQL is the easiest option. For one thing it is so much easier to set up than an ODBC datasource. Just follow the MySQL tutorial on www.trustabyss.com and you are away.

You should have MySQL up and running in no time at all (about 5 mins to be precise!)

it all depends on how many users you expect to be on at any one time. ODBc, Access or Oracle is better for small forums where you think very few people will be on at the same time. however, if you think a lot of people are going to be on at the same time, then use MySQL.

Thanks tyrone. I have set up MYSQL becuase i think quite a few people would go on it but i am not risking haveing to move it all!
