Firstly I thank aprelium for such a sweet little program.

Secondly I have no problem accessing my site through Netscape 7 and MSIE 6. I tried getting to the site with AOL 8 and kept getting the following:

Web Site Not Responding
The web site you have requested may be experiencing technical difficulties due to a busy or broken server.
Please try again by clicking the Reload icon on your navigation bar or, if that doesn't work, you may want to return to the site at a later time.
502 Connection Failed

I had a friend try it. I don't know if they got the same message I got but they could not get access through AOL either.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks and regards.

What did you try, what is your setup, where is your friend located, what are they trying to access, please tell us more (as much as possible).

this is what i am running on Abyss:

http://letersi.mine.nu

Now i type the above address in the Netscape 7 address bar and it works fine. I type the above address in MSIE address bar and it works fine. When I try it using AOL's browser I get the error I mentioned in my earlier post.

I'm running it on WinXP Home Edition. Using a DNS thingy to substitute my IP with a name (the above address). I haven't had a problem with Abyss until now (problem accessing through AOL). Abyss has worked very smoothly. I even set-up the CGI on my first try with no problems using the guide on the Abyss (aprelium) website to try a counter and prehaps add a guestbook. The counter worked fine. So I think I am doing eveything I am supposed to do right, like on the set up end and so forth.

Thanks again.

Is it because AOL browser has a link to the AOL Proxy server?

If this AOL proxy is the case I'm assuming there is nothing I can do about it, no?

Thanks again

Hi, What is this DNS thingy you talk about? I would like to do the same instead of having an IP address.

Site's not working for me in anything at the moment. If it is an AOL proxy causing problems, there's nothing you can do unless the AOL browser will let you change your proxy settings. Maybe they could get a real ISP :P

LatinGuy, the 'DNS thingy' is a service from www.dyndns.org
