The hit counter is adding 17 hits every time I get 1 hit. Can that be fixed?

| The internal hit counter counts all objects served. You have around 17 objects on your front page - hence 17 hits when the page loads. This isn't a bug. If you want a proper hit counter, you will have to find one elsewhere... |

If your page refers to 16 images, flash animations, or sounds, that's normal. Every file served counts as a hit. So when you view your page, the browser will request the other 16 files from the server.
Either rely on the HTML hits counter for the number of HTML pages or install a hit counter on your pages.
