What kind of CGI pages do you have? In which scripting languages they are written (Perl, PHP, or something else)???

Have a look at www.aprelium.com/abyssws/perl.html and it will explain how to
setup Perl for Abyss Web Server , I personally recommend PHP because its a
little faster than the Perl and much easier to program in. PHP Rocks!

Abyss+Perl work fine on Win98.
You said you "cannot setup your webserver". Can you please be more explicit about the problems you has or the error messages you have received.

1 Does a path to the cgi-bin folder need to be made? Get error 404.
2 Does the file extension of .EXE need to be added to run an executable?
3 Does a the folder cgi-bin need to be created? If so, where?
4 Is this done with virtual paths?
Example:
Abyss is installed in a folder named "C:\TEST"
Where would the folder cgi-bin be created or does Abyss do it?

Getting program to run by using Alias panel:
virtual /cgi-bin
real c:\test\cgi-bin

Is this correct?

Spud2004,

You can create an alias as you have done or simply create a sub-directory called cgi-bin inside your htdocs/ directory.

To run .exe files as CGI applications you should update your "Script Paths". For example, if the .exe files inside /cgi-bin should be run (instead of being downloaded), you should add to "Script Paths" the virtual path /cgi-bin/*.exe .
