I implanted a 3rd party script into the administrative console to give full ftp functions via my web browser below are some links to my captures of it :)
It was fairly simple to do, once I found the FTP script!
Abyss is so easy to expand its not even funny. I do plan on trying to mimic it into .chl so I can actually access it from the console port, maybe if I email you the script aprelium do you think you can do it? maybe copywrite issues would keep you from doing it? its done by gossamer-threads? or can you get the jist of the coding and tweek it some so its not really theirs?

Very interesting. But since you use a script, we first need to tell people to install the script interpreter in order to make it run which is not always possible. There may be also copyright issues.
Anyway, we appreciate your interest in Abyss Web Server and are really impressed but what you did. Be sure that the idea is valuable and that we will take into account in the future versions :D

you can download the script from http://gossamer-threads.com
it is called 'FILEMAN' the pro version has many more options but the free version works great if you plan on just using it for yourself like I did.

I hope this is not dead but after tries I can't install the program. When I went localhost/install.cgi I get this download thingy. After meditating under the sun and ignoring everything except meals and homework and classwork and daily chores, I finally had a solution! I went to the server control pannel and added the setting of *.cgi to my perl program path. Now it works!

I have a question, how did you make a screenshot of you monitor? Did you use a digital camera or a program? If it is a program, is it free? Where can I get it? Is it built into Windows?

To make a screenshot on windows hit the key on your keyboard that says "Print Screen/SysRq". You can find this key after your F1-12 keys and above your Insert Key if you have a keyboard like mine. Then open paint or some image program and paste it in and you will have your screen shot.

Hey, wait a minute!!! I already have Fileman installed on my server, but I was only using it for a Web Interface for file management.

I hadn't even considered using it for the upload/ftp capabilities, or integrating it into the Abyss admin console!!!

I was busy making custom themes to replace the 4 that come with it! DOH!!!
