MySql

Ok here is the full run down on my server. I restart my computer it loads abyss and starts "winmysqladmin". The winsqladmin loads the mysqld-opt file and then just sits there. I dont get the green lights for mysql, but i loose my internet connection and cant access localhost. But if i shut down the winmysqladmin but keep the mysqld-opt running everything works great.

How do I fix the mysql to show me the ligths in task bar? I have tried running it manually and still same outcome. Please any help would be very Nice of you.

I'd go with you goose... flat files are easier and more reliable... shame i havent figured out how to use them myself yet :P

Give us some info on what your running. IE DSL/broadband? And if you have SBC DSL with the 5100B modem it has a problem with PPPoE, it can't handle x amount of requests, and will just lock up. You should still be able to access localhost even if you dont have internet (oh the strangness..). =\

Thanks for the help guys, got it working somehow the file my.ini got corrupted. Did fresh install on it and now wirks great.
