Just wanted to let others no who also might not be able to buy things online that you can get a free domain name.. It's not a .com but it's definatly easy to remember, and the only thing they do is a have one popup on your front page. Plus you get three free email address.

i get pop ups for no-ip and i already took off the banner... the thing i do is forward the tk website to the no-ip and then no-ip straight to my IP address since my ip changes frequently and no-ip changes that... and i use tk cause it is easier to remember

I meant that they display your site in a frame. Lets say you have a file called something.jpg on your server. If you access http://<yourip>/something.jpg it works, but if you access http://yourdottkname.tk/something.jpg it wont work. The same if you want to host some kind of server, like ventrilo or teamspeak. It wont work with the free version of .tk. If you pay for .tk, you can control the DNS yourself. But why pay for .tk when .se exists?

hmm i just got it and it isnt very relaible, every now and then ya enter the domain and are shot to a linux apache screen
what would it take to start your own .?? domain service?, would be nice to host a seperate server and pump out .DNS for myslef and anyone else who wants it and runs abyss or whatever |

I'm not sure what it take. But it would be nice aye! Let me know if you decided to get something going like that I will gladly advertise it for you if you should decided to Sell Domain Names or run dns servers.

hmm havent been here in a while, see alots happened
if dot.tk can host thier DNS servers on a apache webserver((thats why it crashes so much)) im sure you could setup DNS hosting on a abyss
altho i bet ya have to buy some kind of program that actually makes the address and runs them...
i have heard that ya need alot of legal stuff like licencing etc |
