I think he was referring to a license for running MySQL commercially and / or other ZPanel components.

Well, actually if im correct, I think you need a license to "take money for exchange of webspace".

Also, you can easily get around that buy saying hes donating the money to you, not paying for a service. XD

I've never heard of needing a license to create a hosting website which charges money...

in US wouldnt ya need a tax id number if profits were high and it was commercial?, or does this only apply to larger yahoo type things

Retail licences are only required if you sell products, but if your providing a service its ok. Also your aloud earn a certian amount before you need to start paying tax, I'm not really sure how much though.

Im almost 100% sure you need a license to set up a small buisness though (US), so the ye ol' governmento can taxify you.

Oh and WebSpace is concidered a product. Simulation:
I sell you 20kg of uranium.
Im selling it to you, but its going to be used anyway... :P so its like webspace.

I would have to disagree because webspace....really isnt there. Its almost like renting an apartment, but 100% cheaper. Honestly, if your running a small webhosting business (making not even 20$/month) I doubt uncle sam is going to nail you with tax evasion. But if your making like 200$/month, i would report that on my taxes.

Just my opinion =P.
