Do you have a index.html in your htdocs folder besides the Abyss welcome
page one ? What is your default web page name so I can tell you how to fix
this problem ? There is no sense in saying this is a waste of your time when
I use this software 24/7 to host www.TRUSTAbyss.com |

Abyss server installation should only takes 30 mins or less if you follow the installation guide right. Check Trustpunk's website, you'll find some good installation guide including php, mysql, etc. The only "waste of time" I'm having right now is configuring my network with my ISP and my router for five nights and two days. I have my static IP set up right, and in the next day, I get another IP address. I called my ISP, and they said that having static IP is advanced option and I have to add another payment for $14.95/month. And lately this morning after configuring DHCP in my router, my machine can no longer pick up router's IP address (Default Gateway: None). I reset my router, checked hardware connections, reboot my machine, typed router's IP address (obtained from manual) in the browser, and guess what I got... page cannot be displayed. I called the router's manufacturer, and forced to listen to their salsa music for almost two hours just to wait for available representative. So much time wasted. At this point, I'm raising my white flag. |
