|

Hi guys-
I recently downloaded MySQL-4.0.23-win.zip, and followed all the instructions to installing it. It installed successfully as C:/mysql. I open the 'bin' file and launch it with winmysqladmin.exe, but when the screen opens under 'Environment' in the myODBC box it reads:
Not Found
Driver 3.51 Not Found
And of course the 'green light' isn't on. I even deleted the my.ini file from C:/WINDOWS and restarted it (and even tried reinstalling it) and nothing works. I'm a newbie at this and any tutorial I read leaves me even more confused. I read the WINMYSQLADMIN.HLP and that didn't tell me anything either. Any Ideas? Help!

This is normal , even my MySQL installation shows this in the little window when
you open up WinMySQLAdmin.exe , ignore this because you don't need it. |

k1ll3rdr4g0n, I downloaded the Windows (x86) not the 'Without Installer' one, so I don't think that's the problem.
TRUSTpunk, I still can't get the red light on. I followed every step on the tutorial on the Abyss Web Servers Tutorial Website (Deleting my.ini and restarting it). Is there anything else I'm missing?

Okay, I got the green light on. It was because I wasn't entering a username and password. But I thought I wasn't supposed to do this cause I would do it later on phpMyAdmin. Oh well, at least the green light is on.

Delete my.ini in C:\Windows then hit cancel for a password. LateR! |
