Brand new website under work! v3

This is the new template for www.TRUSTAbyss.com . This is a fresh template
completely developed by me, not only that but the top logo. I don't know a
whole lot about web design but this is a masterpiece! Enjoy! :-)

It looks far better than the current version, but then again that's not hard. In my opinion anyway!

I just started learning how to create curve borders so it was a little hard for me
to create , also it matches the beta so its really going to look good for v2. :)

Note: Every time I build a site , it has to look better than the first.

At the contrary, every user of Abyss Web Server encouraged to use this new "Powered By" Logo.

Don't take it as criticism, but please, get rid of the serif based fonts. So hard on the eyes!

Which Fonts are those , the nav menu and if so which fonts do you recommend
because I want to keep the Abyss Web Server: Tutorials heading at the top.

The navbar ones plus anywhere else they appear in the body text. Replacement with any sans serif font would be great... How many major websites can you think of using a serif based font for their main pages? There's something about it that's just not right for easy screen reading.

If you're using CSS, just use font-family: sans-serif in your stylesheets or take a leaf out of Aprelium's book -

Quote:

font { font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif }

from the forum here...

How would I add this same font in Fireworks MX , I have the Verdana font so
would that be good enough to just add that font instead , im still not sure if
im going to use rollovers or just plain CSS styled links , suggestions ?

Edit: Does this look better , im using Verdana in this one.

Sorry but this image has been updated at the top.

Yes, of course. It too will be part of the logos that users can include in their pages.

It is far better. Becouse it is a lot easyer to read with this white background.
The current black background is somehow difficult to read - visualy.

The logo in the right hand corner will be only shown in Firefox browsers so if
you don't use Firefox then I guess you won't see the cool purple logo lol. :)

The purple logo is like floating and Firefox is the only one that shows the
purple logo in the right corner of the screen , the Powered By logo is placed
on the left navbar so they will see that , Firefox only shows the purple one.

Note: The website will be ready soon. When v2 is :)

Have a look on the console CSS file of version 2.0 (console/console.css). You'll see a universal way to displaying it without floats (using a background image.)

This has nothing to do with connection speeds , the purple logo would only show
in Firefox but to answer your question anyway , im using a Cable modem.

I don't like it very much. The buttons are too wide so Opera (9p2) puts the "Projects" button at a new line.
I think some photoshop or coloring schemes are a good help.

Look at:

For some nice color schemes

Look at the new URL! Maybe this is what you like. This was the original
but I thought people would notice the title more than the site's content.
Do you like this alot better than the old one? I sure do. :-)

Curved Borders??? I assume also using CSS 2 to do so but where are they? 8O

If you need help in Fireworks just call out. :) No offence anyone but Adobe has a very bad interface unlike Paint and Fireworks. Paint hehe.

MrWiseOne,

This is v3, I've tested many different templates in the past. I just didn't
want to create another topic on this because it's a waste of forum space.

No actually it was just embarrasing and I don't know what I was thinking at the time. Thank Mr Sir, I leave in peace.

MrWiseOne,

The new website does not have borders and never will. I try and keep my
templates good and small. The new website will be very different because
this time it uses no frames, not only that but no WYSIWYG editor to build
the template layout. The new site will be...

01. HTML 4.01 Transitional (like aprelium.com)
02. CSS for Fonts, backgrounds, and layouts.
03. No WYSIWYG editor. Never will I use one!
04. Completely Fresh developed

Just giving you a taste of what's to come for the new website, which
should be availabe next month. I believe people will like this one a
lot more better than the current one. Coming Spring 2006!

Sincerely, TRUSTpunk

trustpunk - I really like the new design. I only use notepad2 myself. I don't do wysiwyg's.

Thanks for the great content though! I havent made adjustments to my server in a long time so I needed it for a mySQL install. Went without a hitch!

Gah, just found out it's because of a typo in the link in your first post... there's a punctuation mark after .com, so it sends me to the site I described.
My bad

News Flash!

I've decided that TRUSTAbyss.com will no longer be a Tutorial website. I want to
help The Inquisitor improve the AbyssUnderground.co.uk website by focusing on
tutorials for AbyssUnderground.co.uk only.

I will talk to Andy and we will discuss some new ideas for the new website.
TRUSTAbyss.com

Sincerely, TRUSTpunk

Seeing how AbyssUnderground already has a lot of what TRUSTAbyss does, it would seem pointless to have two sites. We're not quite sure what TRUSTAbyss will be focusing on just yet. We will keep you posted.

TRUSTAbyss.com will be a website with cool stuff for Abyss Web Server, such as
Mods, Hacks, and Contests. I will keep you posted on the new website.

AbyssUnderground.co.uk will become a website with information on Abyss. It will
carry information on security and the different types of server software/hardware
people should use. So there you have it, very cool stuff for both sites.

Hopefully this will get Abyss Web Server noticed even more, because we want
this software to stick around. I will tell you more information later.

Happy Easter! :-)
