First..aprelium..Great script!
My question is this.
Do you know of a script that will allow my visitors to upload
files to ..lets say /cgi-bin/uploads?
I am not a total fool and have figured out most my scripting issues
myself..but, For some reason I cant get a script to work for uploading.
I have tried alot of different scripts..even changing the .cgi to .pl
(sometimes helps)
The best I have been able to do was get a script to start uploading
then wham!! It takes me to my 403 page and the file didnt make it to the folder..
Any ideas would be great..
Thanks in advanced

Your problems comes from the scripts you are using and changing .pl to .cgi won't help if the script isn't well written or well configured. So please check that the script is OK to run on a Windows platform (many Perl scripts are made for UNIX only), check its configuration, etc...
File uploading is not a problem on Abyss Web Server (it has been tested with PHP, Perl, ASP, and a lot more without any problem.) _________________ Support Team

Thank you Aprelium
I know this forum is for the Abyss Web Server and CGI issues but..
Could you please point me in the right direction as far as a Perl script for
uploading please.. It would save me alot of time in my search..
I have been looking for a free Perl script for this all day.
I am running a windows machine
and I would like to stay with Perl ..
(I am just learning perl and dont want to try to learn anything else yet..
I want to fully understand Perl before I move on to PHP,ect)
Your time and understanding is most refreshing..
I have been to other site where the admin will just bypass
alot of questions..
(maybe thinking someone else will answer? who knows)
The one thing I do know is..Alot of people trying to learn something will
get turned off because no-one will help.
I have looked at alot of post on this board before asking questions..
I see you reply to almost all of them..
From me to you..
Job well done! ;)

I am getting it now..
Thanks for your help :)
I have about 20 people who visit my site
I am sure the script can handle that..
Also..Have another one for ya. (If you dont mind)
Any of you running a chat (Perl) script on your server?
If so..what one?
Once again..Thank you very much.
