|
|
I am attempting to find a bulletin board that I like. I am trying to find one that is pretty easy to set-up, but yet very powerful. I have tried Vbulletin, and UBB threads and didn't care for either of them. I am now trying Invision Power board and really haven't played with it much to see how I like it. So which board are you using and which board do you like the best?

IPB has an extreme amount of admin features (security, management, etc) and the interface is pretty nice too. (Also has 'import skins', to change aperance). It requires one MySQL database and PHP. _________________ int main() {

I use all the boards and still prefer phpbb and php nuke, you can get the latest version of phpbb @ http://www.phpbb.com/downloads.php
there is alot of mods for this if you want to install them. |

I have used tons of forums in the past, including IPB, phpBB, YaBB, and more. I started out on phpBB because it was simple and then moved to IPB for all my forums, i have since moved to SMF. Its great and has lots of features and more coming all the time. Its still pretty new, but awesome so far... _________________ -NoName

Like what, name some better ones, if you wouldn't mind.
I really need to be able to have the ability for my users to be able to add attachments. I like how it makes it a thumbnail then you can click on the thumbnail and see the full size picture. Vbulletin has the same option as well, it just uses GD. I am really interested in what type of forums are out there that have this feature and also have the ability to add a CMS to it as well that will communicate with the forum.
Thanks |

OK, what forums are out there that can be used with a web portal.
For example, Vbadvanced is able to communicate with Vbulletin. Vbadvanced is a portal that only works Vbulletin. I was wondering if any other forum out there has the same type features or add ons. |

I am looking for a PHP Portal for any of the more popular boards, I am not really impressed with Vbulletin, that is the reason why I am now asking around if any other forum currently has a web portal that will work with it. |

I know your new in this forum but we all recommend that you search for your
item before posting any topics , we don't like answering posts that already has
an answer , that just makes it harder for us to answer the rest of the users.
Answer: Search for forum , bbs , phpBB etc. You will find one. |
