|

I have been trying to set up a CGI affiliate script to work on my web server. This CGI script is pretty nice. The first time you run it, it uses a setup page to help you correctly set the options for the script. Everything seems to go alright until about the last point. It then tells me "OK" on the page and INTERNAL SERVER ERROR on the IE title. :?: Nothing happens. I have tried it over and over and still no luck. This problem is not only with this perticular script. I've tryed many others and have encountered the same problem. I can run scripts like hit counters and link trackers but cant seem to run more advanced scripts. Please let me know if anybody has a solution to this problem. I'm in need of a solution fast. I need my website up and running very soon. I will gladly appreciate any help. If you need a screenshot of the error I encounter, let me know. I can email you one. Hope somebody can help me. |

It depends on the scripts you use and the way you install them. Most scripts need to be edited in order to setup their parameters and many won't work correctly if their configuration is not well done.
So it depends... You can start by giving us more information about the script you use (its name, from where we can download it...) so that other people can help you solving your issue. _________________ Support Team

We downloaded the script and we will have a look on it as soon as possible. _________________ Support Team

The script seems to run without any problem (we installed it and changed the variables in each .cgi file.) But you must notice that the script assumes that you have a UNIX system. If you run it on a Windows machine, you'll have some trouble.First of all, it needs sendmail to send emails. So you'll have to install a sendmail compatible program on Windows (do a search on the forum to know how to do so.)
You should also be careful when changing the variables in .cgi files. _________________ Support Team
