Hi,
I have amin files stored in a directory with access control enabled, so Abyss popups the logon window. Is there anyway that I can capture the username for inclusion in a log file sotred in MySql.
Thanx

I believe that if you know PHP with XML then yes that can be possible using
the new config file from the beta version , I think PHP v5 only supports XML.
Edit: I think what aprelium said is what your looking for.

When you protect a CGI script with Access Control, the environment variable REMOTE_USER contains the validated user name.
In PHP, you can get its value using $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'].
In other languages, use the function that reads the environment variables value and get the value of REMOTE_USER. |
