The following line:
<!--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/counter.exe"-->
in index.htm will not run. It is a simple text
based hit counter.
Yet, <form action="/cgi-bin/cgivote.exe" method="GET">
in vote.htm runs ok.
counter.exe was compiled with RapidQ and is a CGI
win32 executable. The path to cgi-bin in Abyss is good.
Any ideas? |

By default, only files that have shtml, shtml, and stm extensions are considered as SSI files and their SSI directives are processed. So rename you file to index.shtml or change the configuration of SSI in the console. _________________ Support Team

Ok, I added the extension .htm to those (shtml & shtm) already in the SSI setup menu. Now IE5 says "error 404 unable to load" after the page starts to load and shows about 10%
The same hit counter (counter.exe) works fine in TZO's built in web server.
Any ideas?
BTW, I appreciate your assistance! Thanks |

Can you send the counter.exe file, the index.htm page you use, as well as your abyss.conf file to support@aprelium.com so that we can check what you are doing wrong. Please zip the files before sending them to us. _________________ Support Team

I am working on this problem again. SSI is enabled.
If I simply change the extension of index.htm to index.shtm
I get Error 403. (there is no SSI cgi code in Index)
Returning index to htm and the page loads fine.
Am I missing some SSI permission setting or???
