The forum allows people to send messages as guests. As you can notice, many users have already posted questions anonymously. Notice that Javascript must be enabled in order to have it work correctly.

Problem: Install app fine. Html docs run OK. When try to run PHP, this generates a Win2K error and shuts down. I blame faulty code in ur product cos I can run PHP fine on Apache!

Unless you give us the exact error, we cannot help. So please send us the exact error, your the PHP version you use and your OS version.
We tested Abyss Web Server on Windows 2000 with the latest PHP binary and everything went fine. Some people reported an error with some old releases of PHP which make it crash (PHP crashed not the web server). It was a PHP problem.
Another point, Apache uses a PHP module while we use the PHP executable. So even if PHP runs well on Apache, nothing guarantees that its executable will have the same "good" behaviour.

Problem #2: How does one change the server ID. I can't offer this product for testing on my intranet unless I can send my IP. Abyss insists on http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1 and there's *notjhin* in the documentation about resolving it.

You have nothing to do. Suppose your computer name is www.myhome.com.
To access the web server from any other computer connected to your network (or on the internet), just point to http://www.myhome.com or if its IP is 111.112.113.114, you can use http://111.112.113.114 .
The subsection "Setting up a web site" in the "Getting started" section in the documentation describes how you can access your web site from outside your computer. localhost and 127.0.0.1 are only shortcuts for local access.

I think you have a great product; even as a new untested build. And would like to give you as much publicity as possible. But not if you don't improve 'customer service'

Thank you. We are doing our best and that's why we implemented this web forum to make communicating with us easier.
You can contact us on abyssws@aprelium.com for further questions and misbehaviour reports about your PHP distribution and Win2K. _________________ Support Team
