The site works for me so you isp doesn't have a firewall.
Is windows firewall on?
Maybe iNaNimAtE or someone can help you.
You could always add
to your host file
Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98\ME = C:\WINDOWS _________________ How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb? |

Okay I Added
127.0.0.1 quierochat.no-ip.org
127.0.0.1 www.quierochat.no-ip.org
to my host file, I can load my site now thru quierochat.no-ip.org but I cant load my site thru my ip still and some people cant load it still too, I know I can add my ip to the host file for it to works for ME if I want the ip to work for me too, but the ip changes continually so that would be useless, how do I know if my windows firewall is ON, and how do I place it OFF? |

The 2 usual reasons for this:
1: If you use a router, it is blocking your computer. Read this on how to configure your router.
2: Your ISP blocks port 80. In the Abyss console, change the default port 80 to something random, such as 21208. Then you can access your site by going to http://yourip:21208 (or the port you chose). To configure it with No-IP, use thier Port 80 Redirect service.
Router and/or port blocking is the cause of this 99.99% of the time. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

ivanmiller,
127.0.0.1 is the same as localhost which also your PC ip address of itself.
Try enter IPCONFIG /all from your Windows DOS. Look for the line indicate IP address. This will be your LAN IP. If you have another LAN PC, try enter that IP address of the Abyss BOX.
nquin321,
Firewall will not stop some user from view and other can. Unless you block out certain part or block of the IP from the firewall.
iNaNimAtE,
He indicated he does not have a router from is OP post. _________________ CapFusion,... |
