It seems as though a whole lot of stuff remains completely unchanged in Mozilla Firefox after they took over after Netscape Navigator. Hehe.

4.7 Netscape is open source , so they just took it, put it together, added a few new features, fast etc, options, but its still the "CORE" ofnetscape.. -.-;;
if you own Mozilla 1.6 its VERY similar 80% like netscape O.o but with better and new bug fixes ,etc _________________

Yes, I know Mozilla is heavily based on Netscape. Hence the: "...remains completely unchanged in Mozilla Firefox after they took over after Netscape Navigator."
Still, it's sloppy to leave stuff like that when you're marketing it under a new name. _________________ "Technological progress is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal."

Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape all use the Gecko Runtime Engine. Therefore, they are all internally the same browser.
Mozilla and Netscape truly are the same, but Mozilla is open-source, as Netscape is not. Mozilla just happened to change the name in a couple places, and added around 2 new features. Firefox is just the same, but they stripped down a couple of features, and made it less stable... I think if Firefox can manage to get up to version 1, they might change those little hints that it was once navigator.
For now, we're all going to have to live with the ugly truth that Mozilla (and its cousins) came from the same place Netscape did. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
