I have a question, not exactly about PHP. but this would somewhat fit into this forum. I have a domain name, 200mg.net ( Thank you Aprelium!). When you go to my domain name, it redirects to my IP address automaticly, cloaking the address. When my IP changes, I have to manually change it from my registar people, and I then i have to wait like and hour for it to change and people bitch blah blah. I hate it.

The other day ran accross some stupid website that thought it was all cool for using all the functions that told you what your IP, browser, ect.. was. And I saw the actual address to my comp. Not my IP, but something like user-12lm59u.cable.mindspring.com. So I went to it in my browser and my site came up.

My question is does the above mindspring.com address ever change with my IP or is it static? If it is static then I can have my doamin redirect to that address instead of my IP.

That is basically your user account. Some ISPs have the IP in that address, but it looks like yours (Mindspring) does not.

Judging from what it looks like, it probably is static. Try it out, and see what happens.
