Ok so basically my friend is makin $25 an hour making a site and he was showing me the stuff he did with Mambo server. So anyways it sounded like fun so I started to learn about php, cgi, mysql crap like that and I threw this site together using all that and the e107 (http://www.e107.org) system which you can download for free. I'm just learning about php and the databases and stuff but heres my site anyways.

I don't really find that appealing, its racist in two ways.
Anyway, i've used e107 before, its not as popular as PHPnuke, which is a good thing. CMS is always fun, but i hate making sites out of it..they completely ruin the journey. The only thing a CMS is good for is squad sites, or some other form of business.
"OH yeah, upload a CMS to your server and work on a few files, changing things, then add plugins and content, done."
Boring. The site, on the other hand, i didn't really look over it, i didn't find anything intresting with it. (CMS just doesn't have a point sometimes, specially for some kind of place where all of your friends can go and "hang out".)
Meh, nothing to really say, good job? ..i guess? ^^;

First off, as i said i'm just learning, second off, unfortunately for some we live in a free country where everyones entitled to there own opinion. But anyways, the site I made doesn't really have a point to it, but i'm proud of it because I learned how to put it all together with no experience whatsoever in less then two days. Making $25 an hour by doing something like this seems like a good investment to me. Thanks for your opinions though and I'll see if I can work on the images thing.

First off, racism isn't an opinion, its a judgement. Second off, you must have just gotten here because rights were defeated along with the british. Third off, you didn't MAKE the site, you filled it with content, i did my e107 in 4 hours.
Whoever is paying you is getting ripped off O.o

first off, how come you can never post in a forum without bein a jerk. Who said I was being racists. How do you know i'm not african american? The fact is that your just finding any excuse to cause trouble and thats really sad. I'm not trying to be mean to you i'm just laying things out. Anyways like i said, i was happy with the e107 site because i had never used php cgi stuff like that and I figured out how to use it. Thats my achievement, obviously I didn't design the layout because thats not what I was trying to do. Everyone in this forum has been especially helpful to me and it would be nice if they viewed my site and told me if there was anythign was wasn't working right. Obviously this is to much a task for someone as great as you. Thanks for checkin it out anyways though
P.S.
by the way, I thought some of the sites you made were pretty awesome and they even influenced the way I designed some of my other sites so I guess thanks

Well, my wire compared to others wires are short met. What i see as being angry, insulting, or even snipping (As i said) are way too blown out of porportion to others.
I would help and be nice, but i can't help, and i haven't slept for 3 days, so how can i be nice? ^^;
And thank you, i'm glad i've finally influenced someone.
Sorry for the strangely (Even error filled) posts i've been making, as i said, i haven't slept for a 3 days.

ok i guess someone finally figured out how to delete my database. Thats ok though, my friend is gonna teach me more about all that kinda stuff. But thanks to everyone here for all the tutorials. I got Windows Server 2003 which i'm gonna install today but i'm still gonna test stuff with aprelium. Check out my friends site though, he started it from the ground up, basically he bought a PT Cruiser with his money and he only like 23.

I do agree; PT Cruisers look pretty bad.
Windows Server 2003 has a lot of features you will probably never use. You also need to be good at configuring it to even get it to work right. I suggest getting a "Quick Start Guide" before you go format; yes, format, because Windows Server 2003 only upgrades from Windows NT Server and Windows 2000 Server.
