The software was running fine, and I could view my website with ease, until I inserted a Netgear router within my LAN. I have changed the settings in the netgear router to accept in coming http requests, but it still isn't working. Is there anyone that has seen this problem before, and fixed it? If so please email me rpreston@yahoo.com.

Mr. Preston contacted our support and said that he found a solution to his problem.
Here is the email he sent to us:

Thanks for the help. I found out the answer, just to let you guys know this is how it works. Once
you have configured your router to accept incoming http requests - your website is up and running
- the problem is that you cannot view the web site through your browser, you have to go to a
different PC off of your network to see it. The router will refer you to the admin section of its
software if you type in your ip address to the internet explorer, thats why you have to use
another pc off of your LAN - but it does work.
If you want a more descriptive answer to this I will be more than happy to lay it all out for you
guys for future questions.

Again, thanks for the quick responce to my questions.

R. Preston
P.S. YOUR SOFTWARE ROCKS!

Allow me to clarify: I want to be able to view the webpage from the same computer I am hosting it on. The other computers in my house do not belong to me, and consequently, it is usually rather unlikely that I can use them for this purpose.

So does anyone know how to view a website hosted on the same computer, from behind a router?

I just solved my own problem:

Instead of having the computer reference http://127.0.0.1:9999 (for configuration), have it reference http://localhost:9999/ . This totally ignores the router, and asks only your machine for the information.

This should be put into future builds.

...must start thread now...

This has nothing to do with the problem Peterson has. localhost=127.0.0.1 in TCP/IP language.
