For some reason Zone Alarm will start blocking abyss from receiving incoming connections at random times even though I have given abyss server permission? Has anyone else had this problem? _________________ How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb? |

Some firewalls can keep web server software from
serving after a certain amount of time , I would
read the firewall documentation and find out how to
disable this feature or to allow abyss to server at
all times that way you don't have any problems |

Hi nquin321--
I used the Zone Alarm free edition for quite awhile without experiencing problems.
I thought I would add this to your de-bugging database. :)

I don't use ZoneAlarm, however I have experienced this problem with Norton Internet Security (so it may be similar).
When there are around 2 or 3 attempted "attacks" on my server, Norton Internet Security does a "lockdown" (nothing in or out). Of course it never says that it is doing this, so the only way I fix the problem is disable the firewall. In a couple hours, I am able to re-enable the firewall with Abyss working. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

What version of Nortan Internet Security are you talking about
because I have version 2003 and I have never had this problem
I get more than 2 attacks a day and the server is still running now the people who attempted to attack me have been blocked for a period of 30 minutes so it does not lock the server , it just blocks that person. |

I'm using the one you gave me. I actually haven't had this problem in a while. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
